FreightCar America, Inc. Announces Preliminary Injunction in Pension CaseFreightCar America, Inc. (NASDAQ:RAIL) announced today that the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania has issued a preliminary injunction in an ongoing lawsuit concerning the Company’s pension obligations at its Johnstown, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. The preliminary injunction directs the Company to reinstate certain laid-off employees for pension purposes, pending further proceedings in the lawsuit. The Company stated that it is still evaluating the order and the potential impact, if any, that it may have on the Company's financial condition and results of operations. The Company has already appealed the order and has asked the Court to stay the preliminary injunction pending the appeal. FreightCar America, Inc. manufactures railroad freight cars.
