FreightCar America Enhances Its Customer Service Organization as Part of Its Overall Continuous Improvement Strategy

FreightCar America, (NASDAQ:RAIL) America’s freight car builder, is enhancing its highly regarded customer service department in a move to proactively support the performance, reliability and utility of its product line. The customer service enhancement is part of FreightCar America’s reenergized policy to continuously improve its engineering and manufacturing excellence.

FreightCar America’s president and chief executive officer, Chris Ragot, expressed the company’s commitment to its customers when announcing the reorganization, "We will provide the best customer service in the freight car industry by continuously improving our customer service to enhance the value, utility and productivity of freight cars built by FreightCar America."

“We plan to maintain our leadership in coal car design and manufacturing and extend that leadership to all railcars that we build,” Ragot added.

Jim Hart, FreightCar America’s vice president engineering said, “These additional field engineers will allow us to more closely follow railcars while in operation, which will enable us to more accurately evaluate the performance of that equipment. Better field analysis will speed the development of design improvements for each car type so we can bring advancements into production more rapidly for the benefit of our customers.”
